Go Confidently

I was commissioned to make a graduation card for a girly girl, she just graduated from high school. I used her school colors and some bling-y glitter cardstock.

I grabbed my new MFT sets, Life's Direction. I embossed the label shape to add a little texture, I love how it feels and looks. The inside is decorated minimally, just with a sentiment (Hunger Games, anyone?) from LLD Document It- Right on Target and Big Greetings.

I really like the impact the bow adds, I am addicted to these bows! Now, let's hope they love it!

Sassy Pants

I love, love, love the PI Girls from MFT and grabbed Feeling Sassy for my card today. She was perfect with the papers from Echo Park's Sweet Girl.

I paper pieced her skirt and just added some gems to the centers of the flower border.

So Sweet

I found some time to play along in the Inspiration Challenge, IC388, this weekend. I chose this piece as my inspiration.

I grabbed some older MME papers and used my cameo to cut all the elements out. I then tied a big bow with some ivory twill ribbon.

The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping's Mason Jars Add On III, with the pears being from Mason Jar Summer Add On. I really love all the mason jar sets Joanna has, and what's even more wonderful is that they coordinate so well together.

Pretty Amazing

I wanted to play along with the MFT sketch from last week, MFTWSC123. I got some new to me stamps a few weeks ago and they've been begging to see ink.

I just placed the buttons differently since my sentiment, from Complimentary Greetings, took up the real estate. I also added some piercing along the sentiment flag for a little more texture and interest.

Happy Mother's Day

I thought the colors for ColourQ187 would be great for my Mom's card for Mother's Day. I grabbed MFT's Sweet Roses and just stamped the outline on colored cardstock; I die cut the leaves out of some interesting green paper. The pink panel was embossed with a dotted chevron folder, really cute.

The sentiment circle was pierced for a little interest. Lots of boosters were used on this card, it's really dimensional, IRL. A big purple bow finishes this card off.

Lovely!

Today is the final day of peeks, all the fun new stamps we've been showing you this week from Inspired by Stamping are available for purchase tomorrow.

I'm showing off Small Fancy Labels 2, it includes this super gorgeous frame and 6 sentiments. I made a box to hold some candle tins. The candle tin itself was decorated with a circle for the top and then I layered on some rolled flowers for some dimension and of course, to dress up an otherwise plain gift. I was able to fit two into the box.

There is plenty of room if you wanted to add some bag fluff or tissue paper to cushion them. I definitely needed some height since the box was tall. Double sided paper is great for these kinds of projects, no need for extra work making a liner.

And, here is a view of the top, I accented this lovely frame with some pearls. Small Fancy Labels 2 is a great size for cards as well as gift items and I really appreciate all the detail Joanna included to dress it up. Some small gems, pearls, glitter, or sequins really transforms the frame from flat to fab depending on your needs.

Just for You Tea Gift

I received a fun package in the mail containing some Inspired By Stamping goodies and needed to make a quick gift for a friend. The sketch I used is Mojo291, which was quite perfect for the front of my tea bag holder. I went with colors similar to the package of tea, they look kinda "down home" from my inspiration, but it works.

The sentiment is from Small Fancy Labels 1, and includes not only a label shaped frame, but 4 sentiments. I chose this one to place atop the banner flags.

For the inside, I just punched a sentiment from Daisies and placed them on the tea bag holder.

Hope Is...

Today we're peeking some more stamp sets from Inspired By Stamping: Background Basics II and Big Hope. I think we can all appreciate the larger sentiments when it comes to gift giving. I pulled out a trusty nugget tin for a chocolate pick me up for a friend.

Each nugget was wrapped with an address label that I stamped with 2 of the 3 backgrounds included in Background Basics II. I included both red and green labels to help coordinate with the colors I chose.

The beautiful sentiment is from Big Hope, you can see how large and wonderful it is. I love the mix of fonts as well.

The bow at the top of the sentiment circle was stamped with the houndstooth pattern that's also included in Background Basics II

I wanted to make a card to accompany the chocolates, so I grabbed a sentiment from Graceful Hydrangea, just punching it out with a circle punch. You can see I stamped the houndstooth pattern for the green strip on my card. The matching envelope also includes the wavy line pattern in red; the envelope liner is, again, the houndstooth pattern in green.
